Emory Alzheimer's Disease Research Center: A Healthy Brain Matters: Alzheimer's Forum

Are you beginning to notice signs of memory loss in yourself or your loved one? Do you have a personal family history of a memory disorder? Do you know how to manage the finances and legal matters of a family member with Alzheimer's Disease?

If you want to have these questions addressed and more, you should make plans to join St. Paul Episcopal Church, in partnership with the Emory Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center, for a Community Brain Health Forum on Saturday December 2, 2017 at 10:00am. This seminar will provide valuable information about memory disorders and their impact on individuals, families, and community.

UNCF Mayor's Masked Ball

Rodney Bullard, vice president of community affairs at Chick-fil-A,Inc. and executive director of the Chick-fil-A Foundation; Ted Blum, managing shareholder of Greenberg Traurig’s Atlanta office and chair of the firm's Atlanta Corporate and Securities Practice and Wendy Stewart, president, Atlanta Market Bank of America, were officially announced today as the honorary co-chairs of the 34th Annual UNCF Atlanta Mayor's Masked Ball. Actor/Singer Tyrese Gibson is the honorary celebrity co-chair and entertainment. The formal affair, UNCF's signature fundraising gala and premier social event of the holiday season, will be held on Saturday, December 16, 2017, 6:30 p.m. at the Marriott Marquis in downtown Atlanta.

Emerging Jazz Icons – Jazzmeia Horn

The Mayor's Office of Cultural Affairs, in partnership with Public Broadcasting Atlanta and The Woodruff Arts Center, will present the inaugural Emerging Jazz Icons series to promote up-and-coming jazz artists and continue to promote the art form that originated in the south. The Emerging Jazz Icons series will continue on January 27, 2018 featuring Jazzmeia Horn. The concert series will take place at The Woodruff Arts Center's Rich Auditorium, and lead up to the 41st Atlanta Jazz Festival, scheduled for May 25 – 27, 2018. Tickets, which are $35 each, are on sale through The Woodruff Arts Center Box Office or by calling 404-733-5000.
