Introducing Church Folk, a dramedy about the history of powerful women in the black church.Introducing Church Folk, a dramedy about the history of powerful women in the black church. Their struggles to be accepted in leadership positions. This play touches many basis not only in church but our black community. Mental heath, ptsd, emotional, verbal and financial abuse. It's an eye opener. Showing the strength and perseverance of our strong black sisters throughout our history and how they overcome all adds. Yet still in the fight for equality not only in the church community but in life. This is a must see an extrodinary tale of strength and faith. It's one of the closet piece to my life experiences being raise by women. Come out and enjoy the music, the word the message. Let's all get fed. McDonald’s All American Games Fan Fest

McDonald’s All American Games Fan Fest, is a free, family-oriented event leading up to the 42nd annual All American Games. The McDonald’s All American Games Fan Fest will celebrate the intersection of sports with interactive basketball themed activities, entertainment for the whole family and McDonald’s food. The event will be emceed by Atlanta radio personality Big Tigger, with special performances by hip-hop recording artist, Lil Baby and Atlanta native, Keri Hilson.

Morehouse School of Medicine invites the Atlanta community to "Deciphering the Dynamics of the Unconscious Brain Under General Anesthesia,” a community presentation delivered by internationally renowned anesthesiologist, statistician, and neuroscientist, Dr. Emery N. Brown, M.D.,Ph.D. Dr. Brown will discuss Propofol, the most widely used anesthetic drug implicated in the death of Michael Jackson. Dr. Brown will also provide an overview of the five behavioral states that can occur under general anesthesia: unconsciousness, amnesia (loss of memory), analgesia (loss of pain sensation), and akinesia (immobility) and stability of physiological variables (e.g. heart rate, blood pressure, body temperature and stress response). Reception: 5:30 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. Community Presentation: 6:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. About the Drs. Peter and Marlene MacLeish Endowed Lectureship The Drs. Peter and Marlene MacLeish Endowed Lectureship was established in March 2018, recognizing MSM’s commitment to supporting neuroscience and to celebrate the contributions Peter and Marlene have made to advance education and scientific research at MSM. Only The Light On The Sea - Opening Reception for Steven Seinberg

Atlanta, GA. March 29, 2019 – Bill Lowe Gallery announces the opening reception of a new exhibit celebrating internationally acclaimed artist, Steven Seinberg. The reception takes place from 6:00pm until 9:00pm and is open to the public. In his newest body of work – Only the Light on the Sea – American painter Steven Seinberg advances an almost three-decade long exploration of the forces of nature and their cellular connection to a psychic equilibrium. Seinberg’s creativity has steadily guided him to maintain a highly recognizable visual language, characterized by clarity of vision and technical mastery. Masterworks by artistic titans Thornton Dial, Herb Creecy, Brian Dickerson and Michael David will be on display in adjoining galleries. Complimentary h’ordeurves, drinks, and valet parking for the opening reception will be provided.
